Cultural Preservation and Youth Education PDF Print
Tiv culture is rich and interesting. The music and dance is unique and exciting. Tiv artists and dancers have represented Nigeria in world cultural expositions. The "Swange" dance music and dance is the hallmark of any Tiv cultural celebration.

To preserve Tiv culture, documentation in writing is necessary. Teaching Tiv-American children in summer camps and trips to Gboko and Tiv villages are also essential. MUTA has initiated a program to build the largest library of Tiv written history, documented folktales, recorded music tapes and video, arts and craft, and dance and fashion. The budget to successfully launch this program in July 2000 is $50,000. MUTA is seeking for partnership, sponsorship, and grants to launch this project.

Adopt-A-Clinic & Healthcare PDF Print
MUTA has joined the ranks of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) in providing support for clinics in poverty stricken Tiv communities in Nigeria. Hospitals and clinics will be provided with diagnostics test equipment, beds, supplies and medicines.

Early detection of treatable diseases like diabetes, hypertension, sickle cell anemia, river blindness, AIDS, cancer, and malaria will improve the lives of the poor. MUTA has identified two clinics in Gboko and Katsina-Ala for this program implementation. The budget for the program is $50,000. Sponsorship and support are needed for the launching of this program in March 2000.

Adopt-A-Grade-School PDF Print
A child's life in elementary school determines how the child will grow up and what she/he might do. Elementary education in poor Tiv villages does not provide hope for the future. The schools lack infrastructure and very often have no teachers.  MUTA initiated a program for sponsors and donors to adopt a village grade school.  Adopted schools will be given infrastructure, technical support and classroom materials. The initial cost of adopting a school is $12,000. MUTA is looking for annual support of $5,000 per school.
